Family Travel Tips in Europe

Finland
For outdoorsy families who relish fresh air and the chance to try out new open-air activities, Finland makes for a great destination for family holidays. Most of the organized trips to the Sámi territory of Lapland to see Santa go the part of Lapland that lies in northern Finland
Bercelona

The loud, vibrant, beautiful, bustling and booming city of Barcelona is great for a family holiday or break, and though it's best for teens, it's surprisingly good for tots too, provided you do your homework, offering a mild, sunny climate, good beaches, lovely parks, mind-blowing architecture both historical and modern, an amusement park, plus wonderful food for all the family
Rome

There are few better places than Rome to make the past come to life for your kids, whether they're throwing a coin in the Trevi or pretending to be gladiators in the Colosseum. The ultimate school-history project destination, this is one of the world's greatest cities, with countless attractions introducing families to a slice of ancient history, plus like the rest ofItaly an enormously welcoming attitude to younger visitors. Nevertheless, this is also a busy, hectic place and hence one best appreciated on family holidays or breaks with older children, with whom you can do most of your sightseeing on foot and for whom the historic sites will be most engaging. Crowds, heat and a lack of clean public toilets make the city less suitable for those travelling with babies and under-5s
Some best city for family holiday in Europe: Paris, Dublin, Cork, Amsterdam and Berlin.
Paris

Steak tartare
Paris is a wonderful city for family holidays and breaks, with heaps of free attractions to please all ages, as well as the costlier crowd-pleasers. Like London, the French capital is never going to make for a cheap destination, but plan your days well and you'll have a truly unforgettable stay in the 'City of Lights'. And after eating your fill of steak-frites and strolling along the Seine, you can make the kids’ year with a trip to Disneyland. Children are welcomed here, although it has to be said that French kids in general, and Parisian ones in particular, are extremely well behaved, so get ready for a few disapproving looks when yours cause havoc.

Liseberg Gothenburg was open in 1923

Liseberg is still ahead of the pack when it comes to top-modern rides. In 2011 was opened, for example, Europe's tallest free-fall amusement "ATMOSFEAR", which is guaranteed to give you an adrenalin rush without equal. However, there are (thankfully) many far more subdued rides and rides to choose from, such as the new giant Liseberg wheel from which you can experience stunning views of the park, as well as numerous smaller "hair raising" attractions for the youngest children and the more moderate temperaments.
Liseberg amusement park has over 30 different rides and attractions and as a crucial element, a beautiful and well maintained park filled with flowers to create the framework for the whole experience. Liseberg is really perfect for the whole family

 Skara Summerland

Approximately 145 km from Gothenburg, between two large lakes Vänern and Vättern, is the super-popular Skara Summerland and beckons with its wide range of attractions. One of the new park's top attractions is the new-built fairground area with its many classic fairground rides and amusements oozes ambiance. In addition, of course, the park's roller coasters and other rides - both those with speed and adrenaline rush and the ones for the toddlers.

Berlin

Children travel with their families to spend time together and have some fun.
Berlin is a fantastic travel destination with kids! There are plenty of parks and green spaces scattered throughout the city, nice playgrounds and places of interest in children. Public Transport with space for folding and prams are also functioning.Berlin is the city for families with children a city where you demonstrated chose toprioritize that there must be space for children and their families. Perhaps because there are many families with children in Berlin compared to other european cities. You
might look at the cityscape. And children are generally very welcome. Prenzlauer Berg in particular has proven to be excellent with young children. And especially the parks even for the Berlin Zoo has made a fantastic playground and it can REALLY recommended. Many restaurants have a playland for children and special family-tables and children's menus. Berliners are very aware of ecologists.
You can rent an apartment. There are many who rent their apartments out - it's worth, and you feel a little less as a tourist.
Summer in Berlin is the best time to visit Berlin unless you love other seasons. Why is summer the best time in Berlin? Because Berlin weather is normally pleasant in summer. Of course, it can be raining and for some days you will have to change your plans. But generally it is warm and pleasant in summer. Berlin is a green city. It is true. When you travel toBerlin you will be surprised that there are so many lakes in the city and around as well as forests and parks. The air is very good for this reason. From the point of weather conditions and nature Berlin is very much attractive in summer.

Summer in Berlin is also good for people who love walking and bicycle tours or biking. They can really enjoy doing it Berlin. If you think you would like to travel around Berlin you can also check different possibilities. Towns and villages around Berlin can also be attractive. You can visit famous Cicilienhof and Sanssouci of Potsdam. It is a great experience for people who love to explore new things, love history and enjoy nature.

Niagara Falls
You can’t visit Canada without visiting Niagara Falls. A small town on the U.S.-Canadian border, on the Canadian side, you’ll find Horseshoe Falls. Plan on taking a voyage on the Maid of the Mist, a boat tour where you’ll definitely need a poncho. Oh, and don’t miss the Journey Behind the Falls – a 30-45 minute walking tour at the base.

Kumasi is the second largest city in Ghana and is substantially different from Accra. The center of town is built on a series of hills surrounding a natural bowl shaped valley. Over a million people live in the area and the city is very centralized and quite chaotic. It's a good place to walk around and (we're guessing here) not the best place to drive. Many taxis will outright refuse to go to a destination that requires crossing the central traffic circle (and for good reasons). Just northwest of the center is the sprawling national arts center. Sort of a laid-back destination, there are a series of buildings where traditional Ashanti crafts are practiced (pottery, weaving, sculpture etc..) and another series of buildings where they are sold, although which is which can be difficult to determine. There is also a pleasant café and assorted shady resting spots.

                                                           Kumasi market

The center of town - Kejetia - is not only the traffic circle of doom, but the name of the truly enormous market that occupies the center of it. It also spills out onto most of the surrounding streets. This is a great place to experience things. That's a vague comment but it's also appropriate.  The sights, the smells, the sounds are so varied and overpowering that the resulting memory is just a blur of impressions. The market is loosely organized into sections like kitchenware, clothing, produce and fabric. Notably, the well known Ashanti Kente cloth can be found here as can Adrinka cloth. Actually, it's entirely possible that anything can be found here. It seems best to look and act like you know where you're going, even if you don't. The radio antennas clustered on one hill provide a reasonable landmark when you happen to get a glimpse of the sky.

Accra to Kumasi Road

Getting to Kumasi is both easy and difficult. The town is a major transportation center. Perhaps bigger than Accra given its central location in Ghana. Certainly the bus station is nicer and better organized than those in Accra. There are plenty of buses, shared taxis and even flights from other locations in Ghana so that's not an issue.

The Picture of the Asantehene ( Ashanti King)

Kumasi is the traditional capital of the Ashanti kingdom and the Manhyia Palace can be toured. The palace is the official home of the Asantehene (or kings) although the actual residence is next door. The original palace (built by the British) is now a museum containing weaponry, stools (in place of thrones) and alarmingly life-like wax replicas of recent royalty. Among the more interesting Ashanti traditions: Upon his election a king selects a stool while blindfolded and derives his name as king from the stool which he selects. Also, a king chooses his queen mother (often a relative but not a wife). When a king dies, the queen mother chooses the new king (who then has to be ratified by the chiefs). Since queen mothers often choose their sons, this leads to a slightly unusual uncle-nephew passing down of the title. Incidentally, this picture is of a tree filled with weaver bird nests. The bright yellow birds can be seen throughout the Ashanti province. There's also an impressive colony of fruit bats just north of the market in Kumasi

This is the seat and official residence of the Asantehene. Its large courtyard holds statues of past great Kings and Queens of the Ashanti Kingdom. Located on the Antoa road just a kilometer from the National museum, this palace was built in 1926 on the return from exile of the Asantehene nana Prempeh 1. This palace remains in use today and houses a small but interesting history museum. Best time to visit is during the Adae festival, which occurs every sixth Sunday when the Asantrhrne receives homage from his subjects and subservient chiefs.

 A KING IN KENTE CLOTH

Kente cloth has its origin with the Akan people. It is a royal and sacred cloth worn only in times of extreme importance and was the cloth of kings. Over time, the use of kente became more widespread. However, its importance has remained and it is held in high esteem in the Akan family and the entire country of Ghana.
In Ghana, kente is made by the Akan people (including the Asante, Bono, Fante, and Nzema). Kente is also produced by Akan groups in Cote d'Ivoire, such as the Baoule and Anyin, which trace their ancestry back to Ghana before the rise of the Ashanti Empire. Lastly, Kente is worn by other groups such as the Ewe and Ga who have been influenced by Akans. It is the best known of all African textiles. Kente comes from the word kenten, which means basket. The Akan peoples refer to kente as nwentoma or woven cloth.
The icon of African cultural heritage around the world, Asante kente is identified by its dazzling, multicolored patterns of bright colors, geometric shapes, and bold designs. Kente characterized by weft designs woven into every available block of plain weave is called adweneasa. The Asante peoples of Ghana choose kente cloths as much for their names as their colors and patterns. Although the cloths are identified primarily by the patterns found in the lengthwise (warp) threads, there is often little correlation between appearance and name. Names are derived from several sources, including proverbs, historical events, important chiefs, queen mothers, and plants.

Elmina and St George’s Castle - Elmina is a scenic angling region, located on the shore of Ghana in the close vicinity of Cape Coast. The area is very famous as it houses the biggest allurement of Ghana which is St George’s Castle that was constructed in 1482 by Portuguese but after 150 years it was invaded by the Dutch who made it the headquarters of West Indies Company. The underground chambers that were used to confine the prisoners will give you a clear idea about the gruesomeness of the trade.
